How to prevent climate change

How to prevent climate change 1. Bioplastics  - Elsa      Bioplastics are   plastic materials produced from renewable biomass sources , such as vegetable fats and oils, corn starch, straw, woodchips, sawdust, recycled food waste, etc. Bioplastics are  generally considered to be more eco-friendly than traditional plastics. B ioplastics, especially biomass-based bioplastics are one of the most promising ways to solve the depletion of fossil fuels and climate change.     Advantages of Bioplastics are.... 1.  Less oil is used   to produce bioplastics which prevents to pose   a great risk to the environment . 2. Bioplastics br eak down naturally by composting or biodegrading. 3.  Many bioplastic polymers are naturally occurring and  don’t have the carbon footprint  of oil-based plastics. 2. Plogging -  Dayoon   Environmental pollution is getting worse day by day. There are hundreds of garbage patches floating on the ocean and 26000 animals endangered due to loss of habitat. The effect of climate change in the future

The Effect of Climate change in the future                                                                                        7 PEM Shirley  Right now various companies are "going green" to help the environment in the future. But have you ever wondered what types of effects climate change will have in the future? You may have thought that climate change was the earth getting a bit warmer and just having a few mild changes. But climate change is irreversible and it will keep getting worse as the decades come. So what type of effects will climate change have in the future? 1. More droughts and heatwaves 2. Sea levels will rise 1-8 feet by 2100 3. Hurricanes and other dangerous storms are likely to become stronger 1. More droughts and heatwaves  As of right now, droughts are more common in the southwest areas. But in the future summer temperature is predicted to keep rising everywhere this will result in more droughts and heatwaves. As time goes on the heat will get to a p

Melting permafrost, upcoming danger

Melting permafrost, upcoming danger - Dayoon Permafrost is any ground that remains completely frozen for at least two years straight. Currently, it covers 14% of Earth's land. However, as  Earth’s climate warms, the permafrost is thawing, leaving behind a huge amount of water. Melting permafrost can affect the ecosystem, our lives, and everything else. In this blog, I'll introduce three problems that melting permafrost will bring.   Firstly, thawing permafrost will damage infrastructures including railroad, oil pipelines, and factories. There are a lot of infrastructures on the permafrost. As it's melting at a fast speed, it will start to collapse and break down. According to Oulu and Helsinki University, about 87% of infrastructures will be on the brink of collapse by 2050 if permafrost continues to melt at current speed. Railroads and oil pipelines will be in especially big danger as they transport natural resources and oil which are essential for us to live. It will

climate change and animals

How   climate change effects on animal life                                            7PEM Brian There are many natural factors that contribute to  climate change. Climate change has always happened on Earth, which is clearly seen in the geological record. It is the rapid rate and the magnitude of climate change occurring now that is of great concern worldwide. Greenhouse gases in the atmosphere absorb heat radiation. Human activity has increased greenhouse gases in the atmosphere since the Industrial Revolution, leading to more heat retention and an increase in surface temperatures. Atmospheric aerosols alter climate by scattering and absorbing solar and infrared radiation and they may also change the microphysical and chemical properties of clouds. Finally, land use changes, such as deforestation have led to changes in the amount of sunlight reflected from the ground back into space. While the impact of climate change on human populations is likely to be dire, we're pretty goo

How Climate Change Effect Humans

이미지
Ho w Climate Change Effect Humans 7PEM Elsa      Now and in the future, we are and will face the challenges of   ' Climate Change '. 'Climate Change' is  a long-term change in the average weather patterns that have come to define Earth's local, regional and global climates . Climate change is caused by  variations in the Sun's intensity, industrial and agricultural activity, deforestation, and more. Then why is this 'Climate Change' issue important? Why should we care about it? The reason why we should care about climate change is because it greatly effect humans. Climate change effect humans by... 1. Inducing water shortages 2. Occuring frequent natural disasters 3. Causing deadly diseases 1. Climate change induces water shortages. As climate change happens, the global temperature rises. The rise of the global temperature could reduce the amount of rain, causing droughts to happen. Droughts can harm food production, shrinking the food supply.   Droug
