 How Climate Change Effect Humans

Now and in the future, we are and will face the challenges of 'Climate Change'. 'Climate Change' is a long-term change in the average weather patterns that have come to define Earth's local, regional and global climates. Climate change is caused by variations in the Sun's intensity, industrial and agricultural activity, deforestation, and more.

Then why is this 'Climate Change' issue important? Why should we care about it?
The reason why we should care about climate change is because it greatly effect humans.

Climate change effect humans by...
1. Inducing water shortages
2. Occuring frequent natural disasters
3. Causing deadly diseases

1. Climate change induces water shortages.

As climate change happens, the global temperature rises. The rise of the global temperature could reduce the amount of rain, causing droughts to happen. Droughts can harm food production, shrinking the food supply. Drought can limit the growing season and create conditions that encourage insect and disease infestation in certain crops. Low crop yields can result in rising food prices and shortages, potentially leading to malnutrition. Drought can also affect the health of livestock raised for food. During drought, livestock can become malnourished, diseased, and die. Climate change leads to water shortage, and water shortage harm people's health by limiting the growth of variety of crops and spread diseases to crops, lacking food for people to eat which leads to malnutrition and hunger.

2. Climate change occurs frequent natural disasters.

As climate change happens and the global temperature rises, it could make oceans to heat up, causing the sea level to rise. The rise of the sea level cause natural disasters such as hurricanes, typhoons, floods. Rising temperatures and warmer seas mean that more water vapor is evaporating into the atmosphere, providing the ‘fuel’ for hurricanes, typhoons. “If we are creating an atmosphere more loaded with humidity,” says George Tselioudis, a research scientist at Columbia University, “any storm that does develop has greater potential to develop into an intense storm.” Natural disasters can cause loss of life, damage homes and infrastructure, and disrupt essential services. Such stressors place you at risk for emotional and physical health problems. Natural disasters caused by climate change can worsen our life.

3. Climate change causes deadly diseases.

Deadly diseases like CholeraEbola are the diseases likely to spread and get worse as a result of climate change.
Cholera is an infectious and often fatal bacterial disease of the small intestine, typically contracted from infected water supplies. Cholera cause symptoms such as irritability, fatigue, sunken eyes, dry mouth, extreme thirst, and dry and shriveled skin, as well as lack of urination, reduced blood pressure, causing severe vomiting and diarrhea, and irregular heartbeat.
Ebola is a viral hemorrhagic fever in humans and other primates, caused by ebolaviruses. Ebola causes fever, fatigue, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, symptoms of impaired kidney and liver function, and in some cases, both internal and external bleeding. Diseases caused by climate change may harm human health.

Climate change effect humans by causing water shortages, natural disasters, and deadly diseases. We should try to prevent climate change to avoid dreadful consequences.
